Some Bug Fixes

This update (4.5.9) contains mainly bug fixes and no new features.

* Fixed alert box offset for iOS 3.x
* Put the Settings in the app itself in the More tab, so all settings nobody could find before are easily accessible. Technically, if you change anything in there, you should NOT have to restart the app. If that's not the case, let me know.
* Fixed a bug where for the white theme, the Add New... cells were not visible in the Money tab
* Now showing days until in reminders
* Backspace now works in the passcode screen

Discounted No Ads Purchase

Due to the recent iOS 3.x blunder, I have decided to discount the No Ads in app purchase to the lowest tier (i.e. 99 cents in the US). This will be available to everyone.

Upcoming Feature

The next version will have a brand new feature. Whereas now you can only view the forecast, which means items disappear as soon as their due date is up, the next version will have a new mode that will allow you to control when those items disappear. It will indicate which items are due today, which are overdue and so on. This will make the app be more like a normal bill tracker. Stay tuned!

4.5 with History

Even though this version was tested really well, including beta testing, I'm not taking any chances. Please export your data before upgrading. Edit: If after updating your app goes back to the home screen, please force quit by double tapping the home button and hold tap on Forecasting and tap the minus sign. Then relaunch.

4.5 Beta Testing

I am setting up beta testing for version 4.5 starting today. If you would like to participate, please let me know. Beta testing features a lot of improvements, including History, offline notifications, a revised and updated user interface for entering items and various bug fixes. The version is packed with goodies, so if you would like to get your hands on it, use the Contact form above and let me know. As a reward, I will grant you the ability to turn off ads.

Pro Tip and 4.4 Update

Pro tip: If you have an expense, such as a check, where you do not know when exactly it will clear, you can set it up as a one time bill sometime later in the future (I usually set them 3-5 days after the date when I think they will clear). Then, as soon as they clear, go to the Forecasting tab, swipe on the row with the expense and tap Paid. That will automatically adjust your balance as well. I found this useful a bunch of times when I receive checks from people.

The App Is Now Free!

Thanks you all so far for your support! As of today, I am removing all limitations - that includes unlimited items, reminders and web access, all for free. In exchange, I am adding Apple's new unobtrusive media-rich iAds. You can of course turn that off through an in-app purchase if you don't want ads. After your purchase, head over to system preferences to turn it off. Those of you who have purchased anything in the past already have that ability. Since this is now the only source of income for this app, I would very much appreciate it if you left ads on.

There is also a Facebook page if you don't like using the RSS to get announcements. It's linked off the website.

* Fixed an issue where in some situations, the balance would get stuck at -0.00. Thanks Lenny for pointing that out

Ladies and gentlemen, the mother of all updates!

Note: as you can see, this update is massive. I spent a long time testing it, but I may not have caught some corner cases. If you find a problem, please let me know as soon as you can.

Beta testing for web access: if you are interested in beta testing new bleeding edge features for Web Access, please use the Contact page and let me know. At the moment, the biggest feature is being able to edit your items online.

First, I'd like to thank arcticcajun for bringing the auto-updating balance bug to my attention. That is now fully fixed in the Lite version (not this one).
